Home Information Packs

It is now illegal to put your home on the market for sale without first commissioning a Home Information Pack (HIP). The Government has introduced HIPs in an attempt to speed up the buying and selling process, by ensuring that all the necessary legal documents are in place at the start of the process, when the property is placed on the market.

The HIP has been compared to the logbook and service history you expect to find when purchasing a car. A key component of the HIP is the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), which will rate your home's energy efficiency and contain advice on how to cut carbon emissions and fuel bills.

ANB Law can take the stress out of obtaining a HIP. We can provide a HIP to enable you, the seller, to fulfil your legal obligations. We will arrange for an accredited Energy Performance Assessor to evaluate your home and produce the EPC.

We can also instruct an estate agent on your behalf and once the HIP is prepared, we can provide you with a copy or arrange for it to be delivered to your estate agents.

If you would like a no obligation quote for your HIP, then please feel free to contact us and we will provide you with a competitive quote and a break down of the costs as soon as possible.
